Utah is home to some of the greatest snow on earth and has some of the best ski resorts in the country. As prices have increased, it makes it much more difficult for college students to get a Utah ski pass.

The best student pricing in Utah applies to 4th, 5th, and 6th graders with the $69 Ski Utah Passport, but college students will have to pay a bit more for their ski season.

With many ski resorts scattered across the state, the closest resort to BYU and UVU is Sundance, making it one of the most convenient locations for students in Utah Valley to ski and ride.

We've included in this list some of the best passes for multi-resort access throughout Utah. But one of the best ski resorts for college students in Utah Valley is Sundance Mountain Resort. Sundance is only 20 minutes from both BYU and UVU and is expanding its resort this year. The new mid-mountain lift offers skiers 10 new runs and 40 acres of skiable terrain.

Look no further than this ultimate guide to the most affordable Utah ski passes for students:

This is the most affordable of all Sundance ski passes, especially if you plan to hit the slopes anywhere between 1-5 times in the season. In fact, it's cheaper to buy the S-Card than to buy a single-day lift ticket, so even if you plan to go once, it’s worth it.

When you buy the S-Card, your first lift ticket is included; every time you return, it’s only $69 (Weekdays) and $99 (Weekends). Compared to their usual $149-day passes, you’re still saving money.

In order to get the ikon pass student discount, you'll have to be part of a ski association. If you’re a BYU student, you’re lucky because you have access to the BYU Freeride Academy.
