Utah County has the best places for kids to play! We explored all over the state, and we have found that Utah Valley has the best parks and splash pads for families. There are so many great spots to cool off during summer. We especially love cooling off at a splash pad once it gets hot!
Splash pads are great for young kids because the water is shallow, so there is a lot less worry about water safety than in deeper water.. There are always a ton of fun toys and sprayers to enjoy, and it helps keep everyone cool.
We are sharing the Top 12 Splash Pads in Utah Valley so your family can enjoy one for each week of the summer.
1. Adventure Heights: Spanish Fork
This is probably our favorite splash pad! It is HUGE! There are 3 big areas to splash and get wet in, and we especially love the huge waterfall to walk through. Adventure Heights also has a large all-abilities playground.
2. Spanish Fork Splash Pad
This splash pad is right off the 1-15 at North Park, which has shade sails. Spanish Fork Splash Pad has a lot of sprayers, so there is a ton of water coming out. It is a fun spot to get wet and cool off.
3. Springville Splash Pad
The Springville Splash Pad has a little river and an area with bigger sprayers. Our boys like walking through the river and splashing around. There is also a playground next door and a few big trees for shade.
4. Provo Splash Pad
You will find the Provo Splash Pad at Pioneer Park in Provo. This splash pad has a lot of sprayers, but we like the curtain of water coming off of the building. There is lots of shade at this park, a large pavilion, and a small playground.
5. Hillcrest Park: Orem
Hillcrest Park is a new park this year, and Orem did a fantastic job with it. The splash pad is a standard splash pad with lots of sprayers in a large circle. Our favorite part of this splash pad is the toddler area. It is shaded, has smaller sprayers, and a spot for parents to sit close to their little ones. Make sure to plan time for the park because there is a lot to see and do. There are tons of pickleball courts, nine-square games, ping-pong tables, and more. This park also has a snack shack that is available in summertime too.
6. Palisade Park: Orem
Palisade Park Splash Pad’s main waterfall is built to look like Mount Timpanogos. It’s cool because the waterfalls appear to be coming out of the mountains. There are also some sprayers and a river to keep the kids busy. This park has a playground and a large pavilion, as well as a summer snack shack.
7. Vineyard Grove: Vineyard
Another splash pad that my kids love to visit is Vineyard Grove Park's splash pad. It has a large slide in the splash pad area. The slide is a super fun way to stay cool. There are also lots of little sprayers and a shallow stream for the littlest kiddos. The splash pad has a huge dumper that dumps water every few minutes, and the kids love this!
8. Creekside Splash Pad: Alpine
This splash pad is a little older, but there are lots of little sprayers and it has a small fence around it to keep kids in. It is a great one for young kids to keep them contained, and it is never very busy. There are 3 different playgrounds to check out at Creekside Park and a lot of grass!
9. Harvey Park: Cedar Hills
The Harvey Park and Splash Pad are all designed around a space theme. The splash pad has a big dumper that looks like a rocket ship. There are also some little sprayers, as well as a few planets with bubbling water. This splash pad and park has a Sno-Cone shack in the summertime to help cool everyone off a little bit more.
10. Highland Towne Center Splash Pad
I believe the Highland Splash Pad is the original Utah County splash pad. This is the first splash pad we visited 18 years ago when we had a new toddler, and we have been splashing here every year since. This splash pad is a large river, which is several inches deep. There are rocks to climb on in the river. This splash pad also has an area with bigger sprayers, too.
11. Ivory Ridge Splash Pad: Lehi
The Lehi splash pad is especially great for little kids because there are small sprayers all around and nothing big to dump on a little one. But there are plenty of fun places to splash, and my older boys like to race their flip-flops down the little river. There is also a pavilion and playground at this park.
12. Cory Wride Memorial Park: Eagle Mountain
The splash pad at Cory Wride Memorial Park is amazing. Our boys love the little waterfalls that they can stand beneath. There is also a little river with sprayers. Half of the splash pad is covered with a shade sail, so it’s nice for moms and toddlers. This park has so much to do, and is super fun, so make sure to plan a day to explore..
Other Splash Pads
These splash pads are a little smaller, but still fun if they are local to your area.
